Quote from their web site, "Willies Bakery, which was founded in 1887 at 537 Johnson Street, is British Columbia's oldest bakery. At one time the bakery baked over 32 different varieties of bread and produced over 500 loaves of bread daily. The original granite slabs remain outside the Bakery as well as panels of bluish glass cubes that were inserted in the sidewalk to allow light in to the basement. "
